The three pillars that lead to glory
Years ago Pastor Prince explained to me that the current Grace Movement is established upon three so called ‘pillars’. The glory of God, the glory of the finished work of Jesus can rise, so to speak, if these three ‘spiritual realities’ are honored and get their rightful place.
- The gospel of Grace
- The local Church
- Israel
I always receive and believe first. Then I ask the Lord, to explain it in ‘my language’ from scripture, so that it becomes ‘my reality’ as well. The Lord did that from the letter to the Ephesians. The apostle Paul writes about his revelation:
Ephesians 3:2 Assuming that you have heard of the ministry of the grace of God that is given to me for you: 3 How that he made known unto me the mystery by revelation; (as I briefly wrote before,
4 That in reading this, you may understand my knowledge of the mystery of Christ)
With ‘briefly wrote’ Paul is pointing to chapter one and two of Ephesians. And there you find the three pillars emphasized: grace (Eph. 1:2-7), church (Eph. 1:17-23) and Israel / the Jew (Eph. 2:12-17).
In January we had a meeting with the current GA team, where we established that these three pillars are the blueprint for Grace Alliance. We exist to help getting these pillars established and connected, without saying that today we exactly know what that looks like.
