The power of faith

Faith is one of the most powerful forces in the world. It moves mountains, opens doors, and brings the impossible to life. Yet, many people struggle with doubt when prayers aren’t answered immediately.

Pastor Leo Bigger teaches us how miracles happen, the different levels of faith, and how to trust God even when things seem impossible. Watch the video and read this article with the key elements.

1. Faith is Everywhere—We Just Don’t Notice It

Pastor Bigger shows us that faith is everywhere around us. Even in daily life. When it comes to believing God it seems like a big step, but we believe every day in our lives in different things.

  • We believe that a bus driver knows how to drive.
  • We believe a chef in a restaurant washed their hands.
  • We believe a pilot will get us safely to our destination.

These are all acts of faith—yet, when it comes to God, people hesitate to believe.

💡 Lesson: If we can trust people with our lives daily, why not trust the God who created us?

2. Miracles Begin Where Human Ability Ends

Many people pray for miracles but hesitate to step out in faith. Faith requires action.

Pastor Bigger tells us a story of a pastor who believed for a church building miracle worth five million dollars. At first, it seemed impossible, but through faith and persistence, God provided.

🔹 “Miracles start where human ability ends. Trust God for the impossible!”

💡 Lesson: If you need a miracle—whether it’s financial, physical, or spiritual—place your trust in Jesus and take a step forward in faith.

3. The Different Levels of Faith

Not all faith is the same. Pastor Bigger highlights four types of faith:

1 Unbelief

Some people hear the Word of God but don’t believe it applies to them.
🔹 Example: People who stop praying because they assume nothing will change.

2 Conditional Faith

Faith that depends on circumstances.
🔹 Example: “God, if You had been here, this wouldn’t have happened” (Martha when Lazarus died – John 11:21).

3 Resurrection Faith

Faith that believes even now, God can change things.
🔹 Example: Mary believed Jesus could still bring Lazarus back to life (John 11:22).

4 Enduring Faith

Faith that continues even when answers don’t come immediately.
🔹 Example: The Irish monks prayed, fasted, and even created medicine when miracles didn’t happen instantly.

💡 Lesson: What kind of faith do you have? Choose resurrection faith—the belief that even when things seem dead, God can restore them.

4. When Faith is Tested: Handling Disappointment

One of the greatest challenges in faith is disappointment.

  • Some people pray for healing and receive it.
  • Others pray for healing but experience loss.

This contrast often leads to questions, doubt, and even people leaving the church.

Pastor Bigger demonstrates how disappointment can act like sand—when mixed with water (God’s Word), it doesn’t always connect. People hear the Word but struggle to believe it because of past hurts.

🔹 “Disappointment is not the end of faith—it’s the test of faith. Keep believing!”

💡 Lesson: Faith must endure through seasons of waiting. Just because you haven’t seen a miracle yet does not mean God isn’t working.

5. God Can Resurrect Dead Dreams

One of the most powerful parts of this message is the story of Lazarus (John 11).

  • Lazarus was dead for four days.
  • Jesus waited before arriving, even though He loved him.
  • When He finally came, He called Lazarus out of the tomb—and he rose again!

Pastor Bigger explains that sometimes our dreams, ministries, and callings feel dead. But Jesus still calls them out!

🔹 “God specializes in resurrection—if Lazarus can rise again, so can your dreams!”

💡 Lesson: No situation is too far gone for God to restore. What you thought was over, God can bring back to life.

Final Thoughts: Your Faith Shapes Your Future

The message concludes with a challenge:
👉 Stop speaking doubt and start speaking faith.
👉 Stop focusing on obstacles and start focusing on opportunities.
👉 Stop believing in limitations and start believing in God’s power.

🔹 “Your calling isn’t limited by your location. With faith, the world is your mission field!”
